Classification Of KW-Hour Meters

- Jul 08, 2018 -

  1. The KW-Hour meter can be divided into a direct current KW-Hour meter and an alternating current KW-Hour meter according to the circuit used. The AC KW-Hour meter can be divided into a single phase KW-Hour meter, a three phase three wire KW-Hour meter and a three phase four wire KW-Hour meter according to the phase line.

  2. The KW-Hour meter can be divided into an electromechanical KW-Hour meter and an electronic KW-Hour meter (also called a static KW-Hour meter and a solid KW-Hour meter) according to the working principle thereof. The electromechanical KW-Hour meter is used for the AC circuit as an ordinary electric energy measuring instrument, and the most commonly used one is an inductive KW-Hour meter. Electronic KW-Hour meters can be divided into all-electronic KW-Hour meters and electromechanical KW-Hour meters.

  3. The electric energy meter can be divided into an integral electric energy meter and a split electric energy meter according to its structure.

  4. The electric energy meter can be divided into active energy meter, reactive energy meter, maximum demand meter, standard electric energy meter, multi-rate time-sharing electric energy meter, pre-paid electric energy meter, loss electric energy meter and multi-function electric energy meter according to its use.

  5. Electric energy meters can be divided into ordinary installed electric energy meters (0.2, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0) and portable precision electric energy meters (0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2) according to their accuracy levels.
